[1]Yazbek was featured on La grande librairie [2] last Thursday, guest of Francois Busnel, along with Amin Maalouf and Erik Orsenna, both of which thought the book was important.
Busnel explained the book sheds a unique light on the event, as Amin Maalouf asserted that it was a “courageous and honest book”. As for Orsenna, and while he appreciated the courageous way in which Samar Yazbek gave a voice to ordinary people, he “deeply troubled by this book”.
