Both fellows of the Sharjah International Book Fair’s professional program in 2016, Prozart Media and Bata Press have acquired rights to Arabic literature to translate into Macedonian.

The fair has supported these acquisitions, and will importantly contribute towards covering translation costs:

Prozart Media has acquired:

Lebanese author Jabbour Douaihy’s “June rain”

Syrian author Khaled Khalifa’s “There are no knives in the kitchens of the city”

Syrian author Samar Yazbek’s “The crossing”

Iraqi author Sinan Antoon’s “The pomegranate alone”

Bata Press has acquired:

Palestinian Jordanian author Ibrahim Nasrallah’s “Time of white horses”
